I divide my time between making 1/12 scale miniature pottery, functional life-size pottery, and teaching beginning ceramics. I have been a full-time ceramist since 1994.
I am best known for my scale miniatures, that I learned to create on my own by practice and experimentation. I am a Fellow of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans whose goal is to promote scale miniatures as an art form. My miniatures are examples of exceptional quality wheel-thrown porcelain artwork in 1-inch scale (one inch to one foot). Each piece is individually handcrafted on a full size potter's wheel. In detailed miniature, I create replicas of historic ceramic styles as well as modern art for miniature museums and collectors. Collections of my miniature work can be found on each continent around the world and have been featured in many magazines including Miniature Collector, Dollhouse Miniatures, Nutshell News, Dolls House World, Artisans In Miniature (AIM), and Miniaturas.
